Season’s Greetings and Update

Hello from the exciting world of publishing Eye of the Moon! I wanted to wish you a very joyous season, and also give you a small update.

We have been learning a lot, figuring out many things, and winning battles on many fronts. One of the biggest challenges was to be able to get the novel in many outlets, for all kinds of readers, and not go “monopoly”. The book is currently available online for preorder through IndieBound.org, Barnes & Noble, Amazon.com, Apple iBooks, Nook, and other third party sellers, as well as through our shop. We are working to get the book placed in stores, but our primary focus now is to place the books in libraries.

We have an Author signing scheduled on March 28th at the Glendale Central Library, considered among the top libraries in Los Angeles County. We are also attending the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books at USC and BookCon in New York.

We have much more to set up to prepare for the launch date, but all is going well. The reviews continue to come in with enthusiastic responses, from people we know and complete strangers, as well as book critics that are not familiar with Ivan and his writing at all.

We have advanced readers in so many countries! Australia, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Scotland, Switzerland, Argentina, Uruguay, and of course all over the US. The response from people has been very encouraging and heartwarming. See Goodreads, and Ivan’s website has an additional page for reviews that can be submitted and rated by readers. This is in addition to the Industry Reviews and Advanced Reader Reviews.

Another piece of exciting news: Eye of the Moon is now being translated into Latin American Spanish! We expect to have the final book by autumn of 2018. Our translations team is passionate about the task.

We all want to thank you for your support as we have been navigating this new territory of getting a good book out into a noisy and crowded world. I will continue to keep you posted on developments.

Here’s to a 2018 that will surprise us with GOODNESS.

Warmly,
Mary Jo
